So today, I decided to fulfill my cravings and my mind quickly think of Cake Jalan Tiung, Shah Alam. I heard from my friend that they serve the best cakes in town. So i think why not I visit their cafe, right? because I have been dying to try out their delicious and scrumptious cakes. And what surprised me the most is they have varieties of cake such as Salted Caramel Cake, Pavlova, Pengat Pisang Cheesecake, Meringue, Salted Egg jams, Cookies, and even brownies. To all the cake lovers out there, this is a place for you! Anyone from different states, places and even country are welcome here.
So, based on my observation: I can see that people who came here are the ones who enjoyed eating their cakes. They already have regular customers because their first branch is at Cake Jalan Tiung, Seksyen 9. From there, they slowly gain customer loyalty and maintain a good relationship with their regular customers. And what can I observed, people would order Salted Caramel Cake because it is their signature. However, the cons of this place are the limitation of seats for customers to sit and enjoy their cakes, pastries, and drinks. If they can add more seats to the customers, people would come and enjoy their deserts without being rush. And most of the cakes are made from scratch by the talented bakers. They even have a window for the customers to watch they bake the cakes. And What can I say is that the bakers' are full of determination and dedication to provide the best cakes for their customers

The objectives for Cake Jalan Tiung is to be one of the best Bakery cafes in Malaysia, especially in Shah Alam. And to be one of the best is, they need to do a lot of advertisement and marketing strategies to create brand awareness. Because people especially Malaysians love sweet tooth and they would not mind spending their money on delicious desserts. What can I identify the problem that Cake Jalan Tiung facing is venue and operation time? The cafe is beautiful, cozy and clean but the place is too small and crowded. Also, the operation hour for this cafe is 10 am until 7 pm every day except Monday. It would be great if they extend the operation time for the customers to come to eat and enjoy the cakes. Also, the other problem that i can identify is they are lacking of promotions.
Open mind and apply creative techniques:
The possible solutions for Cake Jalan Tiung are they need a bigger space and extend the operation time so that people can fulfill the cravings anytime that want. And do a lot of advertisement especially on social media because the younger generation loves deserts & would seat at the cafe for hours just to eat cakes.
Identify the best solution:
The best solution to overcome this problem is, they would do guerrilla marketing which they would set up a big cake with a tiung bird busy eating salted caramel cake at public places and malls with big signage "VISIT CAKE JALAN TIUNG NEARBY YOU". Also hired a brand endorser which is Fazley Yaakob or Mia Ahmad because both of them are an excellent baker and they do have knowledge about being a baker. So, this would help Cake Jalan Tiung to promote their cakes by using celebrity endorsers. Besides, they need to come out with a tagline like "Satu mana cukup" . Furthermore, they need to come up with the concept of a cafe that has two floors, so anyone can choose to sit upstairs or even downstairs.
Transform
For me, they need to come out with the best way to do a lot of promotions and strategies. Because this would help the brand to create more awareness among the public. Even though, they already have regular customers. But, the best way to increase the sale and compete with others is to do more marketing strategies. They could do a sales promotions such as membership, discounts or buy 1 free 1 day as this would help to gain more customers. I wish they could extend the cafe to make it bigger and better for the customers to sit and enjoying their cakes with a sip of coffee.
