Coca-Cola distance screen.

Assalamualaikum and good evening everyone! So last week, I've given a task to do a case study regarding Covid-19 which we will need to come out with a strategy that needs to relate with a social experiment. We all know that social experiment is famous these days because certain people need to observe the behavior and also awareness about a certain brand, products, or even services. Therefore, in this case, study. I pick Coca-Cola as part of the social experiment.



Let's see what is the Coca-Cola response to Covid-19:

"As a food and beverage business, we have a recognised and important role to play in this crisis. As you would expect, the safety of our employees, customers, partners, consumers and products remains our highest priority. That is why, since the start of the outbreak- we have implemented global best practice and precautionary and hygiene measures at all our locations, be that even stricter sanitation protocols, social distancing, travel restrictions and remote meetings and working"

Since Covid-19 occurs in Malaysia, people are now shifting to the new normal where they will be taught to take care of their hygiene, social distancing, wear a mask, and always sanitized their hand. Therefore, the social experiment is to create awareness about social distancing. Even Coca-Cola emphasis the social distancing that we need to practice. 

The main purpose of this: is Coca-Cola will choose a live communication portal as a symbolize connecting with others from far distance. The Idea is connecting with others & the concept is social experiment social distancing interactions. The live communication portal will be named as the Coca-Cola distance screen. It is to ensure that everyone can still have fun even practicing social distancing. For example: 




In the picture, is the brief of the idea and concept that will be executed. The Coca-Cola distance screen will be placed at all malls in different states in Malaysia. This will allow people to use and examine it. Somehow can create awareness among the public about social distancing. Next, the public can interact with other people by far distance and what they can do is they can dance, virtual high 5, and even greet each other. Furthermore, the hidden camera will be placed far from them because we want to observe their behavior when they use the Coca-Cola distance screen. And lastly, as a reward, the Coca-Cola bottle will be given to the participant. They can scan the barcode on the bottle to see their reaction. And somehow, gives them to share the footage on various social media platforms.

As a conclusion, this whole idea, concept, and strategy are to create awareness on how social distancing is important yet everyone can still have fun. Even, Covid-19 occurs in Malaysia it will never stop anyone to have fun also help them to reduce the stress too. If this whole idea and concept can execute then it will give a huge success to Coca-Cola.
